PHILADELPHIA (December 24, 2024) – OIC Philadelphia – a nonprofit that stands at the intersection of workforce development, social justice, and economic empowerment by connecting individuals to future-proof employment that provides a family-sustaining wage with career ladder opportunities for growth – will enter the New Year with a series of new hires and promotions that will continue to advance the non-profit’s 60-year legacy.
Joining the leadership team are Tony Askew as Director of Admissions, Timothy Roundtree as Chief Operations Officer, and Andrea Rose as Office Manager. Additionally, Alida Padilla-Curry has been promoted to Director of Community & Alumni Engagement, Nadaysha Screven to Marketing & Events Manager, and Sam Margolis to Data Center Manager.
Tony Askew, Director of Admissions at OIC Philadelphia, brings extensive experience in educational administration across higher education, secondary education, and corporate training environments. He has dedicated his career to expanding access to education and workforce development programs. Previously, he held leadership roles, including Director of Strategic Partnerships at C.B. Community Schools, Dean of College Advising at Girard College, and Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management at the University of Maryland Global Campus. His work has centered on recruitment, enrollment strategy, and academic partnerships, fostering educational success on a national and global scale.
Timothy Roundtree, Chief Operations Officer at Progressive Ventures - the for-profit arm of OIC Philadelphia, is a results-driven executive with over 15 years of experience in diversity, inclusion, and community development. He has led major capital projects, strategic planning, and operational improvements within nonprofit and municipal sectors.
Previously, as Deputy Director of Philadelphia’s Mayor's Rebuild program and Vice President at The Enterprise Center CDC, he advanced workforce development, championed minority- and women-owned business inclusion, and drove economic growth through strategic partnerships and community engagement.
Alida L. P. Curry, Director of Community and Alumni Engagement at OIC Philadelphia, brings extensive experience in nonprofit management, program development, event planning, and community engagement. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication and Theater Arts with a minor in Ethnic Studies from Shippensburg University. From her early work as an at-risk youth case manager to supporting C-level executives, Alida has built a career centered on service and community development. A published writer and dedicated supporter of the arts, she is an active member of Philadelphia’s Phila-Rican community, combining her creative perspective with a passion for helping others.
Nadaysha Screven, Marketing and Events Manager at OIC Philadelphia, joined the organization in 2022 as Executive Assistant and was recently promoted after celebrating her two-year anniversary. A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Communications and Marketing, she brings creativity and passion to her role. Born and raised in North Philadelphia, Nadaysha is committed to serving her community through dynamic events and innovative social media initiatives that build connections and highlight OIC Philadelphia’s mission.
Andrea Rose, Office Manager at OIC Philadelphia, brings over 35 years of administrative expertise, specializing in enhancing executive productivity and streamlining operations. She is committed to representing the organization with professionalism and ensuring seamless internal and external communications. Known for her proactive approach and adaptability, Angela excels at managing complex schedules, coordinating high-stakes meetings, and maintaining efficient office operations. Her dedication to organizational excellence supports OIC Philadelphia’s mission and long-term success.
Sam Margolis, Data Center Manager at OIC Philadelphia, has a strong background in supporting non-profit programs, managing administrative projects, and ensuring data integrity through efficient record-keeping. She specializes in developing and monitoring databases, generating data reports, and proactively resolving issues to meet program needs. Passionate about enhancing team productivity, Sam leverages innovative tools to streamline workflows and serves as a trusted resource for colleagues. Her commitment to operational excellence supports OIC Philadelphia’s mission and organizational success.
