We are proud to share that Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) Philadelphia has been awarded $200,000 in Local Share Account (LSA) funding, as announced by Senator Sharif Street. This investment is part of a broader $3.2 million initiative supporting community infrastructure, workforce development, public health, and environmental sustainability across Philadelphia.
This critical funding will support strengthening our Workforce Hub infrastructure, expanding economic opportunity, enhancing environmental stewardship, and improving access to vital services for our participants. This milestone brings us one step closer to expanding our capacity to serve individuals seeking skills training, career pathways, and economic mobility.
At OIC Philadelphia, our mission has always been rooted in creating opportunities for individuals to achieve sustainable employment and long-term success. This investment will enable us to modernize and grow our workforce hub, ensuring we can meet the evolving needs of both job seekers and employers in our region.
“LSA funding allows us to make meaningful improvements that residents can see, feel, and benefit from every day,” said Senator Street
We are honored to be included among a diverse group of organizations receiving support through this funding initiative; each working to strengthen neighborhoods, improve access to essential services, and create pathways to opportunity throughout the city.
We extend our gratitude to Senator Street and all partners involved in making this investment possible. Together, we are building stronger communities and a more inclusive workforce for Philadelphia’s future.
