OIC Philadelphia Welcomes Dr. Marshaun R. Hymon as New Chief Learning Officer

PHILADELPHIA (October 14, 2024) - OIC Philadelphia, a leading workforce development organization, is pleased to announce the historic appointment of Dr. Marshaun R. Hymon as its first-ever Chief Learning Officer. With an impressive background in talent management, program development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, Dr. Hymon brings a wealth of experience to this crucial role. He is poised to lead OIC Philadelphia into a new era of transformative learning and development.

Prior to joining OIC Philadelphia, Dr. Hymon held leadership positions at prominent workforce organizations including OneTen, Grads of Life, and Year Up United. His work has focused on creating “Communities of Practice” that enable major corporations to implement effective strategies for attracting, hiring, retaining, and advancing diverse talent.

Dr. Hymon's consulting portfolio includes notable projects with industry leaders such as Disney Advertising and Delta Air Lines, where he developed learning strategies for multicultural audiences and designed skills-first hiring programs. He holds a doctorate in educational leadership from UCLA and is a passionate advocate for arts education in public schools.

As Chief Learning Officer, Dr. Hymon will lead the design, implementation, and management of workforce development programs, as well as develop and implement the organization's overall learning and development strategy. He will ensure that OIC Philadelphia graduates are skilled, adaptable, and prepared to meet current and future organizational needs of Philadelphia's employers. Additionally, Dr. Hymon will foster the continuous growth and skill development of OIC Philadelphia employees in alignment with business goals and values, while innovating and expanding educational programs to keep OIC Philadelphia at the forefront of workforce development in the region.
