Introducing the Reimagined OIC Philadelphia: A Legacy Renewed for the Future

Philadelphia, PA – October 30, 2023 – Since 1964, OIC Philadelphia, a historic workforce development institution, has stood at the intersection of workforce development, social justice, and economic empowerment. Through our enduring commitment, OIC has championed the fight against poverty, unemployment, and illiteracy, empowering thousands to reclaim their destinies.

Today we proudly announce the launch of our revitalized brand identity in the run-up to our 60th anniversary in 2024. This sweeping transformation includes a fresh logo, a modernized website, and a compelling new tagline: "Transform Your Future." Which we believe embodies the essence of our mission and the potential we see in every individual we serve.

As we approach our 60th anniversary, we felt it was the perfect time to refresh our branding, underscoring our commitment to innovation while honoring our rich history. "Today, as we navigate an era marked by rapid technological shifts and heightened calls for social justice, our rebranding underscores our commitment to remain at the forefront of these intersections.

Our new tagline, 'Transform Your Future,' encapsulates our belief in the power of individuals to reshape their destinies with the right guidance." said President & CEO, Sheila Ireland.

In addition, at OIC Philadelphia, we are not merely adapting to the future; we are shaping it. In preparation for the demands of the ever-changing job market, we have introduced new innovative programming that meet the needs of the future of work:

Digital Media & Audio Engineering: In partnership with Freedom Thinkers Academy, our cutting-edge program equips students with the skills required to thrive in the fast-paced world of digital media, audio production, and content creation. We're nurturing the next generation of creative visionaries.
2. Institute for Insurance & Financial Literacy: In an era where financial literacy is paramount, we empower individuals with the knowledge and expertise to excel in the insurance and financial sectors. Our graduates are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of finance and secure their financial futures.
3. Clinical Administrative Assisting & Administrative Medical Assisting: In the healthcare sector, the demand for skilled professionals is on the rise. Our programs in clinical administrative assisting and administrative medical assisting provide the training and proficiency required to excel in these critical roles, ensuring our students are ready to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery.
