OIC Philadelphia proudly hosted our 3rd Annual Alumni & Community Block Party, a celebration of Reverend Dr. Leon H. Sullivan's enduring legacy and the powerful community built from his vision. Alumni, students, staff, families, and neighbors joined us for an unforgettable afternoon of connection, joy, and empowerment.
The day featured live music from the Urban Guerilla Orchestra, delicious food prepared by our Culinary Arts students, family-friendly activities, and resource tables from local partners. Emceed by TaRhonda Thomas of 6abc, the event also honored our 2025 Sullivan Champion, Ms. Alycia Duncan, for her professional excellence and community impact.
We were honored to welcome special guests Mayor Cherelle Parker, Congressman Dwight Evans, Senator Sharif Street, and Councilman Jeffrey Young Jr., who each shared powerful words with our community. The celebration closed on a high note with a special performance by Philadelphia's own rapper and philanthropist, Philly Freeway.
