OIC Philadelphia proudly celebrated the successful completion of another Culinary Arts Training Program cohort, with 15 participants graduating equipped with the skills, confidence, and industry-recognized credentials needed to begin careers in the culinary and hospitality industries. Graduates received both their ServSafe Food Handler and ServSafe Manager certifications, along with an OIC Philadelphia Certificate of Completion.
Throughout the program, participants gained valuable real-world experience through industry visits to the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Reading Terminal Market, and a hands-on pasta-making workshop at La Cucina at the Market. They also learned from respected hospitality leaders, including Chef Josh White and Ligia Richter, who shared insights on career pathways, leadership, and professional growth.

A highlight of the cohort was catering several high-profile events, including OIC Philadelphia's Annual Stakeholders Meeting, a Lunch & Learn with Councilman O'Rourke, and multiple breakfast events. These opportunities allowed participants to apply their training in professional settings while earning praise for their teamwork, professionalism, and quality of service.
Before graduation, many participants secured employment with hospitality employers throughout the region, while others earned promotions or continued growing their careers in family-owned culinary businesses. These outcomes reflected the strength of OIC Philadelphia's employer partnerships and the continued demand for skilled, workforce-ready talent.
OIC Philadelphia extended its sincere gratitude to the employers, guest speakers, and community partners who invested in participants and helped create pathways to meaningful careers. Together, these partnerships continued to strengthen Philadelphia's hospitality workforce, one graduate at a time.
If you or someone you know has a passion for cooking and is ready to turn that passion into a career, we encourage you to learn more about OIC Philadelphia's Culinary Arts Training Program and take the first step toward a future in the hospitality industry.
